Great question, between coats of epoxy and when done sanding a wood slab. We never use a tack cloth to clean with. Some tack cloths will leave behind a residue on both the wood slab and on a fresh coat of epoxy. This small residue left behind can react with the wet epoxy, causing the epoxy to gum up, have spots repelling the next coat of epoxy. We like to either use an air hose to blow off the dust and sanding residue, or a vacuum, or dry blue shop paper towels to wipe away any loose dust. Solvents or cleaners are not needed to clean off the dust caused by sanding. Thank you so much for writing to us and have a wonderful day!
