We use a propane torch or heat gun to remove air bubbles incorporated into the epoxy while mixing. A heat gun works, but just requires more passes over the surface. Artists love heat guns because of the effects achieved when hot air is blown across the epoxy. In our experience, the torch pops bubbles faster than the heat gun. Here is a link to the Bernzomatic TS4000. This is used with off the shelf small propane bottles.
